Junior Redcross

In our school, a unit of The JUNIOR RED ROSS has been functioning for the last twenty years.The unit has an intake of 80 cadets from upper primary and High school sections. Mr. Muhammed Riyas and Mr. Dileep Kumar are the counselors for the UP and HS sections respectively. The JRC cadets bear the responsibility of maintaining the school discipline on every Monday and Tuesday. They lead the programe from the fore front during all the days of national importance. They also participate in various social welfare programmes as part of charity works. Those cadets who successfully complete JRC seminars/ camp, A -level B- level and C- level exams will be awarded with grace mark in the SSLC examinations.

National Service Scheme

The National Service Scheme was started to establish a meaningful linkage between the campus and the community. Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation, had recognized that the country could not progress in a desired direction until the student youth were motivated to work for the upliftment of the community. For Gandhiji the villages, where majority of the population lived, represent the country i.e. India. Therefore,for the national reconstruction and national resurgence it was deemed fit that the students and teachersshould be properly sensitized and utilized for strengthening the Indian society as a whole with particularemphasis on rural community. Therefore, student youth, teachers and the community are considered thethree basic components of the National Service Scheme. In our school, a unit of The National Service Scheme has been functioning for the last 12 years. Mr Vahabukutty M is the NSS programme officer in our school

Scouts and Guides

Units of Scouts and Guides have been functioning in our school with a view to promote values and an attitude of social service among the students, Those volunteers who satisfactorily complete the required training and activities will be awarded with the ‘Rajya Puraskar’ certificate bearing the signature of the Hon. Governor of Kerala and some of the selected volunteers also will be able to receive Certificates from the Hon. President of India. It is happy to announce that a large number of volunteers from our school were fortunate enough to receive these prestigious certificates from the Hon, Governor and President of our nation and hence became eligible for grace mark and priority in admission to higher studies.

Career Guidance

Career Guidance is one of the major activity in our school to guide the students in selecting the apt courses and careers. Career Guidance unit have been functioning in our school since 2011. Mrs Sareena N is the Career Guide in our school. Objective of the Career Guidance Programme To enable the students to prudently plan a career of their own by pursuing the right course to achieve their aim. To help the students identify their strength and weakness so as to set the right goal in their career. To keep the students updated on latest trends in career development. To help the students to develop transferable skills such as effective communication skills, leadership skills, teamwork skills and management skills, so that they will become productive and efficient members of the workforce..

Souhrida

Adolescent counseling and Health Care Programme is a unique, novel and innovative programme conceived and launched by the Department of Higher Secondary Education. This programme is implemented in our school through Souhrida Clubs.Souhrida Club have been functioning in our school since 2011 Mrs.Mini S Kurup is the Souhrida Co-ordinator in our school Aim of the Souhrida Club The aim of the Club is to improve the physical, academic, social and interpersonal skills of the adolescents and lead them towards a successful adulthood. Souhrida Club assures a platform for the students to express their problems frankly. Privacy and transparency are two key factors of Souhrida Club. Objectives of the Souhrida Club The activity oriented objectives are enable self-development and empowerment of Adolescents spread awareness among them about health, hygiene, nutrition, Adolescent Reproductive and Sexual Health , and family and child care
